On June 18, 2024, a communication on Global health cooperation was held at Global Health Centre of Duke Kunshan University in Jiangsu Province. Members of the Global Health Centre teams had a learning exchange from Duke Kunshan University, and discussing the potential cooperation directions, which may provide ideas for Global Health Centre of School of Public Health, Xiamen University (Prof. Liu Gang, Prof. Zhou Shuisen, postdoctoral fellow Rui Jia) and Duke Kunshan University (Director Prof. Tang Shenglan, Prof. Liu Yunguo, and leaders from Research and Teaching, International Cooperation, Vaccine Delivery Innovation Laboratory).

Professor Liu Yunguo shared the progress of Duke Kunshan University's work in the fields of global health program planning and discipline construction, undergraduate and master’s education, vocational training, scientific research and international cooperation, and innovative laboratories for the delivery of diagnostic products and vaccines. Professor Liu Gang introduced the advantages and characteristics of School of Public Health, Xiamen University in detail, elaborating the two sides have complementary advantages and mutually beneficial cooperation basis and direction in the field of global health.
The two teams will communicate closely to promote the implementation of various cooperation contents on global health. During the communication, talent training, scientific research and other topics were discussed. Firstly, there is an opportunity for practical cooperation in the fields of postgraduate teaching, and global health courses sharing. In addition, cooperation patterns was also discussed in the meeting, such as sending each other's faculty members and graduate students for short-term off-site researches. Secondly, focusing on Southeast Asian countries, efforts can be made to seek domestic and foreign funding to jointly carry out scientific research projects in the field of global health. Lastly, School of Public Health Xiamen University has a leading advantage in the research and development of diagnostic reagents and vaccines, which can cooperate with the vaccine Delivery Innovation Laboratory of Duke Kunshan University in the direction of global health.
