Xiamen University School of Public Health was officially established on May 20, 2011. Since its establishment, adhering to the school motto of "Harmony, Fraternity, Pragmatism, and Innovation", the School has developed a distinctive development model combining and promoting both field disciplines and experimental disciplines, and built a complete training system covering bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs. It offers two undergraduate programs (both selected as national first-class undergraduate program construction sites), Preventive Medicine and Medical Laboratory Technology, master's and doctoral programs in Public Health and Preventive Medicine, as well as a postdoctoral research station in Public Health and Preventive Medicine. The School has established several high-level research platforms, including the National Key Laboratory of Infectious Disease Vaccine Research and Development, National Engineering Research Center for Infectious Disease Diagnostics and Vaccines, National Medical Education-Industry Integration Innovation Platform for Vaccine Research and Development, Integrated Research Platform for Vaccines and Molecular Diagnostics, NMPA Key Laboratory for Research and Evaluation of Infectious Disease Diagnostic Technology, Xiang'an Innovation Laboratory, and P3 Laboratory.
Since its establishment, the School has closely integrated talent team construction with career development, always adhering to the talent philosophy of "making the best use of everyone and ensuring everyone has development opportunities". It has cultivated many high-level talents and teams, including the National Advanced Group in Fighting COVID-19, National Advanced Group in Education System, National Advanced Group in Science and Technology System in Fighting COVID-19, National Huang Danian-style Teacher Team in Universities, as well as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, recipients of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Chang Jiang Scholars, and Baosteel Excellent Teachers. In 2022, it was selected into the list of 18 high-level schools of public health in China.
The National Key Laboratory of Infectious Disease Vaccine Research and Development is a major innovation platform established for the health of Chinese people and national economic and social development. It was officially approved for construction in March 2023, with Xiang'an Innovation Laboratory and Xiamen University as its supporting units. The laboratory director is Academician Xia Ningshao, and the academic committee director is Academician Lin Dongxin. The laboratory has a total construction area of about 110,000 square meters and advanced scientific research equipment worth about 400 million yuan. Focusing on three research directions - common theoretical basis for infectious disease vaccine research and development, common key technologies for vaccine research and development, and innovative vaccine research and development for important pathogens, the laboratory aims to build a domestic leading and internationally influential highland for infectious disease vaccine research and development and talent gathering.

1.Recruitment Targets
Outstanding young scholars and postdoctoral researchers engaged in public health-related research from renowned universities and research institutions at home and abroad. Position: Generally appointed as Professor (faculty position) with doctoral supervisor qualification, included in the "Xiamen University Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences Distinguished Talent Program"

Newly Recruited Assistant Professor Support Program

Newly recruited assistant professors are divided into Category A and B. Fresh PhD graduates should not exceed 32 years old; non-fresh PhD graduates should not exceed 35 years old. Category A requires at least 1 outstanding achievement in recent three years; Category B requires at least 2 high-level achievements in recent three years.

Generally, applicants should have a doctoral degree or the highest degree in the discipline; applicants for the Professor position should not exceed 45 years old (born on or after January 1, 1980); Associate Professor applicants should not exceed 40 years old (born on or after January 1, 1985); Assistant Professor applicants should not exceed 35 years old (born on or after January 1, 1990), with fresh graduates not exceeding 32 years old (born on or after January 1, 1993); should meet other appointment requirements of the university and school for various positions.

Postdoctoral Researchers
(1) Application Requirements
Having obtained or about to obtain a doctoral degree, generally not exceeding 3 years after obtaining a doctoral degree; age generally not exceeding 35 years old.

Salary and benefits: Competitive university salary, social insurance and housing provident fund, plus additional national, provincial and municipal project funding or talent subsidies according to policies. Supervisors may provide additional support based on postdoctoral researchers' scientific research capabilities and performance, with no upper limit
Research funding: May apply for National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, etc.
Housing: May choose to live in on-campus postdoctoral apartments (on campus, close to kindergartens, supermarkets and other living facilities), or receive monthly rental subsidies if not living in apartments

International exchange: May apply for academic exchange or cooperative research abroad during appointment
